I graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Microbiology and Virology.
I’m working on a number of projects in the lab, including the analysis of the role of sperm and male accessory gland secretions in inducing female post-mating responses (such as egg laying and refractoriness to mating) in Anopheles gambiae mosquitoes, and the functional assessment of the reproductive role of plug proteins transferred to females during mating through an RNAi approach.
